Today my husband Don and I explored the area north of Truckee, driving past the Boca Lake (reservoir) and along the road which follows the Upper Truckee River northish.\u00a0 The river flows out of the Stampede reservoir, which is currently closed for repair.\u00a0 (Apparently they are raising the level of the reservoir\u00a011 feet to accommodate a larger water supply).\u00a0 We were hoping to see an American dipper.\u00a0 No such luck on that regard, but we did discover a beautiful meadow along the river with wildflowers and birds, and we saw a couple trout fishermen in the area as well.<\/p>\n
Today I added\u00a04 species to my Tahoe Big Year\u00a0list.<\/p>\n
